Mohammad (MO) Islam serves as an Associate Director at the UnitedHealth Group USA. He specializes in machine learning, deep learning, Prompt Engineering, Generative AI models as well as application and web-based software development and their practical applications. He holds a U.S. patent for wireless GPS mapping device and has contributed articles to esteemed publications like ASCE and CSCE. Mo has presented machine learning and deep learning workshops at several universities, including the University of the District of Columbia, Washington DC, and Universidad Católica de Colombia in Bogota. He was a keynote speaker for “Harnessing AI for Holistic Healthcare” at Lawrence Tech University in Southfield, Michigan and “Unraveling Machine Learning and Deep Learning” at the 5th South American International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management in Bogota, Colombia. He also offers training on machine learning and deep learning to industry leaders and academicians. Being an inveterate problem solver and strategic thinker having a background in both IT and engineering; he has developed a reputation for connecting the right individuals and teams with the right tools and products to optimize outcomes.
Today with 20 years of experience in IT Program and Portfolio Management; using agile, SDLC, SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), Kanban, Scrum and Scrumban methodologies, Mohammad understands that when AI is ethically used our world and all of humanity will be safer and a healthier place to live.
